Fishing in Langkawi

On the east side of Pulau Rebak Kecil, a small Island, just 10 minutes of boat ride from Kuah Jetty is a good spot for fishing. Sometimes a boat may stops over for a while at the sandy cove with visitors stopping by for exploring the island or fishing. Enthusiasts say that the island is a haven for grouper fish but there are no other facilities are available such as picnic tables, shops or toilets.

Pulau Tuba, another fishing village is  a hilly island and the only inhabited one, besides the main Langkawi Island. Although this traditional fishing village provides all the facilities like power, fresh water supply, telephones yet the villagers here prefer the old ways of drawing water from the wells. They also provide a number of home stay program unionized by Malaysia’s Fisheries Development Authority.

At the end of the mangrove river lay Pulau Lima which consists of a group of lands and the name itself means "5 islands". All of these islands are called Pulau Lima collectively and offers some best spots for fishing.
