Pulau Tanjung Dendang

Pulau Tanjung Dendang is situated on the northeast coast of Pulau Langkawi and to the east of Pulau Langgun. The island is notably extended more in length than width with a peninsula on the northernmost tip called Tanjung Dendang. On the other side of the island are the straits of Selat Tanjung Dendang.

Pulau Tanjung Dendang is separated from Pulau Langunn by ‘Selat Tikus’. You can come across some marvelous limestone cliffs while going through Selat Tikus on a boat and a high rise geological limestone formation jutting out from the sea. On the south of the island is a tapering piece of projected land into a body of water called ‘Tanjung Tembus’.

The island also has a couple of caves which are ‘Gua Assam’ and ‘Gua China’ where on the east coast there is a bay called ‘Dead Chinaman Bay’ or ‘Teluk China Mati’.
